Teak branch is lighter in colour, has more variation in colour and knots, has an uneven grain and shines less, as it contains slightly less natural oils than solid teak. It has the tendency to warp and split more easily. If not maintained it will age to a beautiful silver-gray patina, especially when exposed to sunlight.
To preserve its look and durability, treatment for weather and rot resistance is required. Regular oiling or sealing helps retain its original colour. Suitable for indoor and covered outdoor use only. Clean by dusting regularly with a soft cloth or brush, and use a damp cloth with mild soap for deeper cleaning—avoid soaking. Although it resists moisture naturally, keeping it in a dry environment is best to prevent damage.
